Garsten, Austria, October 24, 2026 – agross Software e.U. today releases Netmo 2, the Mac app for owners of Netatmo weather stations and Smart Indoor Air Quality Monitors. Netmo 2 shows readings where you need them: in the menu bar, as a desktop widget, or in a dedicated desktop mode.

Menu bar, widgets, desktop mode The menu bar can display any value, and a click opens its history. Widgets put weather and indoor air on the desktop, while desktop mode shows stations and charts in one window. Netmo 2 supports up to six weather stations and up to three Smart Indoor Air Quality Monitors (formerly Healthy Home Coach).

What’s new compared to Netmo Classic

Desktop mode and widgets
Support for the Smart Indoor Air Quality Monitor (formerly Home Coach), with CO₂, humidity, noise and a health indicator
Charts with comparison periods, such as this year vs. last year

Which Netatmo devices are supported? Netatmo Weather Stations (up to 6) and the Smart Indoor Air Quality Monitor, formerly Healthy Home Coach (up to 3).

Do I need a Netatmo account? Yes. Netmo 2 signs in through the official Netatmo login and reads the data of your account.

How is it different from Netmo Classic (Netmo 1)? Netmo 2 is rebuilt from scratch and adds desktop mode, widgets, air quality monitor support, comparison periods in charts and notifications. It is a standalone app, not an update. Netmo Classic stays supported until autumn 2027.

Do I have to buy Netmo 2 again? Yes, Netmo 2 is a new app on the App Store. A launch price applies at release.

Which macOS version do I need? macOS 14.6 or later.

What data does the app collect? Netmo 2 does not collect, store or transmit any personal data to the developer. There are no analytics or tracking services and no ads. The app talks directly to Netatmo’s servers. Details in the privacy policy.
