We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our app on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

2. Data Collection and Use

Focus one is designed with privacy in mind.
We only collect data that is necessary to operate the app and provide its core functionality.

a) Local Data

All your tasks, projects, and notes are stored locally on your device or optionally synchronized via Apple iCloud.
We do not have access to your iCloud data.

b) iCloud / CloudKit

If you enable iCloud synchronization, your data is securely stored in your personal iCloud account.
Apple processes this data on your behalf according to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
No personal data is shared with the developer.

c) Diagnostics and Crash Reports

We may receive anonymous crash reports and performance data through Apple or TestFlight.
These reports include technical details (device model, iOS/macOS version, error logs) but no personal content.
This helps us improve stability and performance.

d) TestFlight Beta Program

If you participate in our Beta Program via TestFlight, Apple collects your Apple ID and usage data to manage beta access and deliver updates.
We may view aggregated crash or feedback data, but not your personal contact information.

e) RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

Focus one uses RevenueCat to handle subscriptions and in-app purchases.
RevenueCat receives and processes limited data from Apple’s App Store to:

  • verify purchase receipts,
  • manage active subscriptions, and
  • provide you access to premium features.

RevenueCat does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name or email.
The data may include:

  • an anonymous app user ID,
  • purchase history (e.g., product identifiers, subscription status), and
  • transaction dates.

This data is used solely to validate your entitlement to premium content.

3. No Tracking or Advertising

Focus one does not:

  • Track your activity across other apps or websites
  • Use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
  • Share or sell personal data to third parties

We fully comply with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) guidelines.


4. Legal Basis (GDPR Article 6)

We process data only when:

  • it is necessary for providing the app’s functionality (Art. 6 (1)(b)), or

  • you have given consent (e.g., enabling iCloud sync) (Art. 6 (1)(a)).


5. Data Retention

Your personal data remains on your device or in your iCloud account as long as you use Focus one.
You can delete all data at any time by:

  • removing the app, and/or
  • deleting its data from iCloud via System Settings.

6. Your Rights (EU Users)

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction or deletion
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority

7. Data Security

  • All local data is stored securely within Apple’s sandboxed environment.
  • iCloud data is transmitted and stored encrypted.
  • We never transmit your data to third-party servers.
